When I was being prepped for the Boards by the late Irwin Kaiser, he remarked that the Board was looking for folks who could be called on to bail out a gp in the middle of the night. At the end of the day, this drive for primary care turf has resulted in the overall dumbing down of the Specialty. Soon the GP's will have to bail us out. We have met the enemy and they is us.

Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
