We have way too many residents today, and have had for decades. Why are so many OB's doing less than 8 deliveries a month and 1 hyst a month, and doing so much Primary Care? because there are so many that they can't make a living doing OB-GYN that is why.

Good thoughts, Dan. One of the reasons I have moved to a small town in Western NC, is that the Atlanta area was saturated with OB/GYNs. Here they want and NEED Ob/Gyns. Also they don't seem to mind whether the doc is a boy or a girl!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
