Attended what is probably my last birth this AM. 8 lb 9 oz baby girl. Slow labor, up half the night, ROT til beginning of 4-minute second stage. All well in the end. I caught her big sister 12 years ago, diagnosed big sis's bacterial meningitis 10 yrs ago, caught middle sister 5 years ago, and mom tracked me down at the outreach clinic for this last one. I'm glad the last one was one I know, and not someone I was just covering on call. I once thought I would never quit doing OB, or that I would be REALLY sad if I had to, but I'm NOT.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
