Yup and we are not allowed to "contract" with the cash patient for a "reasonable" fee - when we HAVE to take the reduced payment from the insurers.

The local folks who are in the "big" multispecialty group gets higher reimbursements for the same codes than the solo private docs - presumably because they have someon who negotiates the contracts ...

Pretty sad.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
