Pfizer Sued Over Lipitor's Side Effects The Associated Press Charles M. Wilson, a former insurance executive from Atlanta, and Michael Mazzariello, an attorney from New York City, said in separate lawsuits filed last week against Pfizer Inc. that they began experiencing debilitating pain, weakness and memory problems after taking the anti-cholesterol drug Lipitor. The company called the two suits "baseless," saying all potential side effects of the world's best-selling medication are included on labeling and in advertising. http://www.law.com/jsp/article.jsp?id=1149843918824

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
