Don't stop there, Dean. Were I to pay cash for a medical service, I get charged a higher fee than the Insurance Reimbursement for the same code ... despite the acknowleged procedural angst associated with insurance claims. It's the only biz I'm aware of in which not only do you not get a cash discount, but rather a cash surcharge.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
