Robert,

You would do the L/S tubal before the 6 week postpartum? I would typically do the postpartum, make sure all was well and healed and then do it.

I guess the only time I remember perforating a uterus in residency (doing laparoscopy) was a 5 wk postpartum tubal. And I was late to the case to boot, AND she got peritonitis in the week after the case.

Any suggestions welcome. Garry

Let the pro-T/L partner do the t/L before the 6 week postpartum visit if they are not on call for the delivery.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
