I am seeing more women come in and ask for "STD check" because they had intercourse with one or more men - have had a hyst and ask for a "full STD" check.

Have any of you Listers ever seen chlamyda or GC after hyst?

Since Chlamydia is an obligate intracellular organism 0 I suspect it does not infect the squamous vaginal mucosa.

How about GC?

They have the urine tests now - would you do a voided specimen for both organisims? (like the men only do the urine spec instead of uerthral swab)

For HPV I have them wait for the next Pap test.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
