Another term for forceps is pickups, used for holding tissue while suturing. Much easier to leave behind than obstetrical forceps. Nevertheless, if it had happened in the USA or most other countries, you would be looking at a multi-million dollar settlement. In Pakistan, they probably will just cut off the hands of the scrub tech and surgeon.

Wondered if you'd all seen this, and what you thought.

Forceps aren't something I'd ever considered would go 'missing' after a section, swabs I can understand if there is no count but a pair of metal forceps?
