Gyn: Ortho EvraFrom: Garry E. Siegel, M.D. (garrys@mindspring.com)Mon Feb 27 19:50:40 2006
The nice Ortho rep brought in a lunch today to talk about the bad rap Evra has gotten, yet it is (according to him) the most prescribed hormonal contraceptive in the US. Has anyone changed their habits regarding this since the poop has hit the fan, i.e. the FDA made Ortho change the labeling and some brouhaha about strokes? Has anyone seen the science on it? Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
