Re: Sexual abuse was Spanking babiesFrom: Ina May Gaskin (midwifeim@earthlink.net)Mon Feb 27 16:40:52 2006
>Denise as a 16-year-old nurse's aid witnessed the sexual abuse of an >infant by a disturbed person posing as a doctor. She did the right >thing by going to the authorities and then learned that the system >wasn't set up to keep such things from happening. All the Brits I know are shocked out of their minds about why such behavior is tolerated here. I don't find it easy to explain why we tolerate such wickedness, but Denise's story helped me understand why we do. Young women quickly learn here that speaking up may not help. Denise said this happened 32 years ago. Could it happen today? Ina May

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
