Well put, Henry! Gerald P. Rodríguez, M.D., FACOG Santa Fe
> ----- Original Message ----- El, Your message made me wonder if some of my prior emails led to your conclusion and your statements. As I recall, I didn't accuse you or any other person of German descent of anything, and especially wouldn't accuse anyone of anything based simply on the basis of descent. (Unless, of course, it were on the basis of descent from homo sapiens, in which case we are all open to accusations of frailty, shortcomings and often disappointing behavior not a credit to our intellects or souls, lol.) I do recall a couple of times reposting to your ill mannered, vituperative, snide, sarcasitic, santimonious, etc., etc...universal bashings of all things USA or US citizens, without the least disclaimer or qualification or differentiation. I simply riposted with an obvious reminder of the failings of your own country of origin, most memorably to me at this late hour, after one of your harangues about the "..problems w! ith your (US) system." 'course our system has problems, but it is not the single huge unredeeming problem you always accuse it of being. One would think you would speak with such certitude only if your own country of origin were a paradigm of civilized behavior. I simply made a diadactic point or two of how that's not the case. It had nothing to do with "German" except tangentially, as I assumed that's your country of origin, and further assumed you held it in higher esteem than the USA. Trust me, I would have been able to make similar observations whatever your nationality...Russian, French, Japanese...pick any of many dozens of others. Any passing familiarity with history, sociology, politcal science, etc. makes it clear human socieities have their failings. I'm confident your have the intellect and education and experience to recognize that. For whatever reason, you seem to enjoy being one hundred percent hostile to anything re the US. Perhaps your extremist zealotry prevents any alternative insights from being processed in your mind and you truly discern nothing of value inherent in this country. (After all, one does occasionally encounter intelligent and articulate people who are, nevertheless, delusional.) Of course, several hundreds of thousands of folks who have recently (not to mention millions antecedent to recent times) striven to enter this land thought otherwise. Perhaps they are all delusional and pathetically wrong. Your rants are always entertaining, and occasionally you even have a correct fact. Indeed you are always spot on correct in two regards...you just don't get it and nobody gives a *&^t! (Of course even a broken clock is right twice a day). The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
