Gyn H/S Fluid ManagementFrom: Joanne Bulley, MD (islesannie@yahoo.com)Mon Jan 30 13:10:46 2006
Which fluid management system are you using and how do you like it? At this point I have not been able to get our hospital to transition from having a nurse dedicated to eyeballing the glycine bags and the suction cannisters for hysteroscopic resections to the self contained fluid management systems. I have been trying to emphasize the cost of having 2 RNs in the room - one is the circulator and the other is trying to keep track of the fluids (usually glycine or saline). So I would like to find out who is using what equipment and how you like it - especially if you have used more than one manufacturer's equipment. Joanne

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
