Re: Uterine fundus perforationFrom: Dr. John Provatopoulos B.Sc. M.D.C.M. F.R.S.C. (johnprov@sympatico.ca)Sat Jan 28 09:53:41 2006
There are now lots of reported cases of uterine rupture after laproscopic uterine septum resection, its goten to the point where many reccomend c-section. this was only a trocar perf. but still a perf., I would tell patient there is a increased risk of rupture and offer a c-section if patient finds any added risk unacceptable.

Take care, John

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
