Mom's most frequently voiced reaction was - repeatedly - not admiration and appreciation of what the staff there had done and was doing, but one of disgust because Medicaid would only take her up by cab on a sixty plus mile trip by private cab no more than once a day. While qualifying for medicaid ob coverage is fine by me, such sentiments from an employed woman with no other children, with a working husband, with two cars, cable tv, owning own house, etc, who seemed to have no prior trouble providing gas for multiple out of town trips when without children the year before..... well, I guess we all start out quite idealistic, then get a bit jaded and faded by these kinds of occurences. However the meet my needs, please, and don't worry about anyone else's share of the cost mentality is often a bit galling.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
