Actually, I did that. I was offered any number of free trials for porn sites, a couple of “personal” stories that were lacking in any detail, and the chance to pay anywhere from $20-$100 for videotapes that purported to show me how to become a piercer myself, a honor I dream not of. I thought Google could tell me anything (having seen detailed step-by-step descriptions of how to do bowel resections), but apparently piercing is a cash only zone. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
