Then overlap the fascia in a vest-over-pants type thing and close over drains. After a few kids, the lower abdomen has lots of redundancy that can be excised. It's not enough to have to move the belly button, like the plastic surgeons do, but it has a pretty good effect and they like it. The only "drawback" cosmetically is that you have to make a wider than usual Pfannenstiel, almost to the anterior superior iliac spines. Joe P. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit.
