Re: Supracervical Hyst?From: William D. McIntosh, M.D (wmcintosh@premiermed.com)Fri Dec 16 10:12:12 2005
I use the bipolar cautery with cutter blade (Everest) as well, and I think it works wonderfully well. I tried the Ace Harmonic, but I don't like it, too much "red video". I have tried multiple times, but I just can't seem to make it work as well as the bipolar system, and what is more, when I see videos of the "experts" using it, they seem to have the same problem. I used to use a monopolar J-hook for the cervix, but recently switched to the bipolar needle from Gyrus. The Gynecare morcellator is just so sweet, as my sons would say, cooler than my first car. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
