Re: Supracervical Hyst?

I used to put a loop around the cervix before cutting it off - stopped doing that few years back. Bleeding does not seem to be an issue.

I cut across the cervix with harmonic scalpel, although sometimes I revert to hook scissors with cautery (seems to be faster and more efficient) but obvious unipolar risks.

Specimen out with Storz rotary morcellator.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
