Re: Dr.Klein, where are youFrom: Jamie (ajfields@pine-net.com)Tue Nov 29 11:33:41 2005
I do think some difference has been made between actual physical risks to the patients (not that everyone agrees on those) and liability risks to the practitioner. It is incredibly unfortunate that anyone who practices OB or midwifery in the U.S. has to put their liability considerations into the equation, but until the U.S. as a society understands that everything doesn't have to be someone's fault, that can't change. I don't hold out much hope-was looking for an attorney this morning to deal with my mother-in-law's affairs, and had to wade through 5 pages of ads for personal injury attorneys. For perspective, the "yellow page" directory is 87 pages. Back to lurking and learning as you guys discuss abnormal paps and when to deliver preeclamptics.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
