In a message dated 26/11/2005 23:57:48 GMT Standard Time, l.glazerman@rcn.com writes: WE had a case at our hospital a few years ago of a patient attempting a home birth with a family physician, who pushed for 9 hours, with poor fetal hearts, was then brought the hospital, delivered by cesarean section, and sued the obstetrician because his "unnecessary intervention" caused her baby's problems. That's stupid, how can the OB be blamed for that? Even me who is very pro 'leave well alone' wouldn't have kept a woman at home with a suspicious fetal heart.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
