Placental weight is most closely associated with Birth Weight. Birth Weight is most closely associated with Maternal Prepregnancy weight. Estrogen levels in non pregnant state are most closely associated with obesity. Therefor, one would expect higher placental weights in women who had breast cancer. Association has nothing to do with cause
