Betsy, You mention that BhCG, PAPP-A, and Nuchal is more accurate than the Quad Test, but you forget to mention that the most accurate, safest and lowest screen positive rate is found when you do The Integrated Test. (First and Second Trimester Evaluation of Risk). For mothers who have to know the result in the first trimester there is, the modified sequential. This tests allows for the first trimester result be issued to the patient and then a final report is issued at around 15-16 weeks gestation. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
