How did we manage to have our babies before ultrasound? It's a wonder we didn't die out as a race. I recently heard that women in some parts of the UK were being denied a home birth if they didn't have a dating or anatomy scan. Fortunately, we have an organisation here called AIMS and they had a lot of women calling them over this. This blackmail was stopped as soon as it started and women can have a homebirth without having had scans. Women power!!! Gail

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
