Re: OB: Home birthsFrom: Jane Peterson (ApricotRex@comcast.net)Wed Nov 16 21:41:43 2005
Don't assume there's a midwife. These days, there are a lot more people doing UC or Unassisted Childbirth. Very few of them are doing UP, or Unassisted Pregnancy. They're out there pulling the same thing on home birth midwives, too. -----Original Message----- From: ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net On Behalf Of Garry E. Siegel, M.D. Subject: Re: OB: Home births The patients are being dismissed, lock, stock and barrel. I don't know who the lay midwife is, or I would turn her in. Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
