Measure Would Punish Attorneys for Filing Frivolous LawsuitsFrom: Dean Huffman . (dean@thehuffpeople.net)Sun Oct 30 16:53:12 2005
.. Measure Would Punish Attorneys for Filing Frivolous Lawsuits The Associated Press Lawyers could lose their licenses for a year for repeatedly filing frivolous suits under a bill headed for passage in the House as part of Republicans' drive to crack down on what they consider abuses of the legal system. Supporters say such suits are a bonanza for lawyers rather than a chance to recoup legitimate damages for their clients. But the American Bar Association says the measure would infringe on states' rights.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
