But it is not appropriate to place it on our list. Had she sent it to you, and you wished to share an abridged version, that is one thing. This however is a list for medical professionals ONLY. ONLY.

I can be as empathetic as the next person, even as empathetic as El. However, to read a novella that is neither requested nor appropriate for our list is not going to get my sympathy or empathy.

Or, I'm just having an ornery day

For many women having an emergency c/section is like a death. They grieve for the birth they expected and planned for and didn't get. If a vaginal birth wasn't important to us women then we wouldn't try for a VBAC. I had 4 very normal births, no interventions whatsoever so I haven't got the first clue how Lori feels and nor, I suspect, do the majority on this list. Only Lori knows how she feels and to make light of it is wrong. This IS important to Lori.

Lori, I hope you achieve all you wish for with your next birth.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
