It suggest she may have an underlying problem. Thyroid parathyroid etc. Also consider urine NTX to see if there is increased osteoclastic activity. She may simply have low density bones from lack of quality bone formation in her teen years and is not truly loosing bone at this time, in which case subscribe calcium and vitamin D and exercise and not worry about bisphosphonates until menopause. andrew

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
