Re: OB: Fun and Games at 42w1d (long)**outcomeFrom: Anna Meenan, MD (annam@uic.edu)Sun Oct 16 17:17:41 2005
I agree with El. Another pregnancy with this lady is going to be one long bargaining session. I'm getting bad vibes all the way from here, and El's getting them all the way from Namibia. One thing I have found interesting over the years is to listen to what women say about their docs and their medical care when they think they are among only lay people. I have found that the best place to do this is at, believe it or not, garage sales (especially on weekdays when things are slow). I can stand around, pretending not to listen, for as long as I want, while I am perusing the merchandise. One of the things I have heard on more than one occasion is women talking about lying to their OB's about LMP's. One woman was telling her friend, "I know when I got pregnant. He should be smart enough to figure it out." Your lady sounds like the type that would do something like that if you tried to hold her to a 39-week c-section.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
