Last week CNMW had 42 week 16 yo mexican female induced for post dates. Started having a headache about 8:00 pm. Called me as in house doc for seizure ie grand mal at 10:00 pm. BP 130/70. 2+ proteinuria. Stopped seizure with 6 grams mg and 2 grams per hour. All Labs were fine. Cat Scan head at 1100 PM was normal. Sectioned at midnight as she was not progressing still 4 cm. Delivered 9#6 boy. A reminderto me that even mild preeclampsia has potential to go eclamptic. andy

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
