Re: Active management - third stageFrom: RModugno@aol.comWed Oct 12 19:52:01 2005
In a message dated 10/12/2005 8:44:46 PM Eastern Standard Time, stephen.raymond@dhhs.tas.gov.au writes: There is no argument that active management of the third stage is significantly effective in reducing PPH and in reducing the degree of drop in the Hb post delivery. This information is all available in the Cochrane Database. Not managing the third stage actively is asking for trouble. Agree - that is why I brought up the subject.Proactivity rather than reactivity! Robert Modugno MD MBA FACOG Marietta, GA

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
