This study requires a large pinch of salt - first, the study was misoprostol versus placebo; second, the improved PPH rate was not significant because the confidence limits straddle 1; third, the conclusion is only valid for loss of more than 1000 ml in a setting where you don't have oxytocin or ergometrine available.
