35 YO P2002 called today after missing 2 pills mid-pack. She was spotting and we instructed her to "catch up" taking the missed pills BID until back into the normal pattern. This got me thinking: 1. Any need for Emergency Contraception here? I think not. . . 2. We always tell them to use back-up contraception, but the reality is that she only missed 2 days, and you don't get pregnant when you miss 7 during the placebo week. Any thoughts welcome. Garry

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
