Vaginal Cuff painFrom: Ngozi Wexler (NUZOGARA@POL.NET)Thu Sep 29 07:48:10 2005
I have a patient who had a TAH/LSO approx 10 years ago and has in been good health until the past 9months when she has noted progressively worsening deep thrust dyspareunia/burning at her cuff as well as chronic lower abd pain. Nl pelvic ultrasound with R ovary. Neg urinary w/u. Neg GI w/u. Physical exam shows very specific areas around her vaginal cuff that are extremely tender to touch with a q-tip. these areas are hyperemic as well. No granulation tissue was noted. I am planning on taking her to the OR for dx l'scope and biopsy of the cuff. Any other suggestions? Thanks. Ngozi Wexler
