Not me. Everyone CAN get necrotizing faciitis, or any other disease you can think of. However, some types of patients (particularly lower SES patients, obese patients, diabetics, etc.) are more highly likely to get some types of illnesses. Necrotizing faciitis is one of those types of maladies.

This is one reason people who train at Charity Hospital at New Orleans, e.g., have more experience in some types of diseases, most notably infectious disease and certain advanced stages of things (like cancers).

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
