Endometrial ThicknessFrom: Joanne Bulley, MD (islesannie@yahoo.com)Wed Sep 14 12:14:07 2005
Looking for your thoughts: What do you call the cut off for "normal" endometrial thickness in a pre-menopausal woman? Post menopausal, no hormones, if it is les than 5 mm then the chance of pathology is negligible. But ... premenopausal ... what is your cut off. I have been getting reports that say "thickened endometrium at 1.2 (or 1.3 or 1.5) cm" If it is homogeneous and you get a successful office biopsy that is proliferative or secretory ... do you go any further? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
