IMHO, The two are definitely related - (IUD & AGUS pap smear) But, I guess her pap should actually have been called HSIL! CIN III can look like AGUS on a pap smear... especially when mixed with the ugly looking reactive glandular cells that can be caused by IUD's Anne Hamlin, CT, (ASCP)
