That is, no further "increase". One aspect that has been steadily overlooked is that even though the numbers look like a 26% (I think -- I am at home without the articles) increased risk, even that was not statistically significant. It has still been repeated so often (that the continuous combined Prempro increases the risk) - it is like a mantra - it has been said so often it is now taken as fact. So ... with this patient - I would present the data as I have reviewed it and as it has been reviewed at various conferences I have attended, reviwe the fact that if she consults with any of the oncologists or surgeons (at least in this area) they will universally tell her to stop HRT immediately. Then the patient gets to make the decision. I have told many a woman that if she is anxious about all the info on both sides of the HT issues everytime she goes to take the HT, then she should not be on it - the anxiety is not good for her.
