Just read that isolated choroid plexus cysts make the change of aneuploidy 8X. Thus, interpret with regards to any other sonographic findings and multiple marker screen result, as well as age.

Whomever denied a level 2 scan is short sighted, and while it is not productive time, a well written letter faxed to the insurance company (I assume that someone there denied it) as well as the patient calling will get you a level 2. If the pregnant patient tells someone she's worried about her baby having birth defects, well, it will be approved, I bet.

It may be dirty pool, but the insurers force us to do it that way.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
