I feel for you and your wife and how frustrating this must be.
Obviously, this is far from an exact science.
Sometimes, too many cooks spoil the broth, too!
Something seems a bit amiss, as you've noted.
An amnio is easy and safe and may give you data that will help clarify
things. Go ahead and do it.
