Re: PyometraFrom: ainsron (ainsron@sbcglobal.net)Thu Jun 30 08:38:35 2005
Another is enterouterine fistula secondary to diverticular abscess. I did some literature review last night. An article from the green journal in 1992 suggested inserting a tampon after giving activated charcoal and watching for the charcoal to pass through the gut. If it is seen in the vagina around the same time it is seen per rectum, you have the diagnosis. I'll probably try that the first of the week, I won't be around over the Fourth of July to see her. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
