Qualifications,epidaurals and pitocin, perineums and homebirthFrom: igold@cox.netTue May 31 21:34:48 2005
Hi all! By way of introduction (since one of the posts earlier today recommended that newbees provide the same) I'm Ingrid Gold, a CNM in Phoenix. I took a 5 or 6 year hiatus from this list, but I do remember el (he used to make my hair stand, but now I'm humored), also Bob Wooley, and what happened to Malcolm? I must say, it's been an interesting first day back. I have just begun a new job as a hospital employee providing care to mostly undocumented women, mostly monlingual spanish. For the past 5 years I have done ambulatory care only including high risk OB, and lots of GYN. I've learned how to manage (prenatally) diabetics on pumps, and do colpos and leeps. Those of you who remember my from my granola days (20 years and over 1200 homebirths), will appreciate what a different journey I've been on. Anyway, thought I'd let you know I'm out here, and look forward to being back. Ingrid Gold, CNM, Phoenix

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
