Since many people being treated with Methadone for chronic pain are on as much as 40 mg q4-6 hours, I'd think 10 mg is a VERY low dose. I don't see how you can go wrong by slowly weaning down, even during pregnancy. If the mother's symptoms are minimal to nonexistent, the baby should do okay. And if you can get her off BEFORE delivery, the neonate would probably be pretty free of withdrawal symptoms.
