Re: GYN: Popliteal artery entrapment syndromeFrom: Andrew Folley (agfolley@hotmail.com)Fri May 27 11:52:53 2005
I had to think twice abotu where the popliteal artery is at so you can take my opinion for what it is worth. I think all of the estrogen and BCP problems wrt to throbosis are due primalrily if not exclusicively in the venous system. Unless vascular says otherwise, I would feel comfortable placing her on low dose bcp some time in the future (after I had done a literature search on BCPs and arterial embolisms). Andy

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
