I don't believe that anyone on this list would suggest that it is the ONLY concern. But all other concerns are a clearly less import. We're talking relative importance. In a perfect world, I would like our judgement to be infallible, but given a choice, I would definitely err on the side of healthy baby and mom. I always tell my patients that the overwhelming majority of the time, pregnancies and deliveries go quite well with little or no help from a health care provider, but when they do go bad, they go badly quickly and terribly. Of course, I don't say it in such frank terms.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
