Re: Continuous OCPFrom: ainsron (ainsron@sbcglobal.net)Tue May 24 15:17:31 2005
Why? Are you sure you can wear it for four weeks consecutively and still be effective? The normal sequence is just like OCPs, 3wks on/1wk off. -----Original Message----- From: ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net [mailto:ob-gyn-l@obgyn.net] On Behalf Of Richard Chudacoff, MD Sent: Tuesday, May 24, 2005 11:06 AM To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L Subject: Re: Continuous OCP One thought though. If you use a conventional pack of pills, you need 18 packs a year for continuous amenorrhea. With NuvaRing, you only need 12. If a patient is paying the difference, it can be quite a lot of cash. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
