In Europe they have a smaller size / lower dose Mirena specifically for the post menopausal progestin to protect the endometrium. So - yes it can be used for that. I doubt we'll ever get that approved in the US with current anti-hormone therapy as the prevailing dogma. Joanne

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
