For serious religious reasons, I do not distribute contraceptives. I realize there are no other pharmacies close by, but you might discuss with your physician one of the online sources of medications which either you or she could make use of. I'm sorry that might be somewhat inconvenient for you, but it's important to me and the beliefs I have about all of us. God bless you, and let me know if there is anything else I can do to help, or you can have your doctor call me." How sappy, I mean appropriate, is that? Joe P. P.S. We've overlooked one variation here. What if the OCPs or whatever are NOT for contraception, but, say, for metrorrhagia, endometriosis, etc.? What then? In THAT case, it would be FINE for a Catholic pharmacist to dispense hormones of any kind.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
