Re: Contraceptive accessFrom: Anna Meenan, MD (annam@uic.edu)Thu Apr 21 07:51:31 2005
el, in this country, the pharmacist is paid a decent salary for what he does, and the f***king fortune goes to the drug companies. OCP's cost anywhere from about 25 to almost 50 doallars a pack, even the generics, though patients who can't afford that can generally (at least in my county) get them for about $10 a pack at the local county health department, which also gives away free condoms by the dozen (literally---there are brown bags containing a dozen condoms each in a basket by the door, and kids as young as 12 can come in and just take a bag).

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
