Re: Contraceptive accessFrom: Len2976@aol.comWed Apr 20 13:33:50 2005
I have comments on this subject: ---Prior to choosing this profession and getting a job, a pharmacist knows what his/her job will entail--filling prescriptions, including contraception. While I will not go so far as to say he should choose another profession, I will say that I think she should work at a pharmacy where he is not the only pharmacist or a "one-man shop." That way if he does not feel he can fill the prescription, another pharmacist can do so. ---Lecturing patients about the "morning after" pill, premarital sex, or contraceptive use is inappropriate. These patients can get this from their priest, minister, or physician. In addition, some patients using BCPs may be using them for reasons other than contraception. Lenora McCall, CNM ---

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
